The Aqaba University of Technology is the first private university established in the southern part of Jordan. It has an ambitious vision to be distinguished, attractive and the preferred choice for students from within Jordan and its neighbouring region. The university is located just fifteen kilometers south of the city of Aqaba, settled on the hills overlooking the Gulf of Aqaba on a piece of land extending over 500 acres.

The Aqaba University of Technology is the first private university established in the southern part of Jordan. It has an ambitious vision to be distinguished, attractive and the preferred choice for students from within Jordan and its neighbouring region. The university is located just fifteen kilometers south of the city of Aqaba, settled on the hills overlooking the Gulf of Aqaba on a piece of land extending over 500 acres.
The University welcomed its first students in the first semester of the academic year 2015/2016 at two of its current faculties: the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences and the Faculty of Information Technology. Over the past years, the university has expanded its faculties to include the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Pharmacy, and the Faculty of Literature and Life Sciences, all of which offering a wide variety of majors for students to choose from, whether it be Undergraduate or Postgraduate.
The University is working continuously on helping its students achieve what they aspire to reach. Over the years, AUT has had a total of 1,264 students and a total of 96 academic faculty and staff.
